Anyone who has ever brought a new product to market knows you have to have a customer that participated with you throughout the development and implementation, has used it successfully, and is in a position to evangelize to others about the success it will bring them.
As we indicated in our previous post, “Are You Among the Unserved,” our surveys have overwhelmingly confirmed that there are a large number of Unserved working people and recruiters out there today. We want YOU, to be our evangelists and help us make sure we deliver something that exceeds your expectations.
Industry expert Kevin Wheeler describes a typical scenario–
“ABC, Inc.’s three recruiters are overwhelmed with requisitions. At the end of last week, they had more than 150 open positions to fill, many of them requiring hard-to-find candidates. Most of these requisitions had been open for more than two weeks, and hiring managers are upset. Most of the managers have not seen any candidates, and the few who have want to see more.” (Read full article on ere.net.)
itzbig does not have all the answers, but we know with your help we’ll get them.
Help us by joining an Advisory Council.
The Advisory Council is a group of individuals like yourself who want something better from online recruiting. If you are one of the many people unserved or underserved by job boards, we invite you to become an adviser to the itzbig team.
Advisors will be asked to participate in defining our strategy, shaping our product and validating our approach. We even hope you’ll help us name the company.
We have developed four separate Councils:
- For staffing executives.
- For recruiters.
- For candidates.
- For what we call “quiet working professionals”–those who would like to continuously explore opportunities in an anonymous, private, and very personal way.
Collaboration is key to our mutual success. There is no cost to be an adviser, and the time commitment is only what you can invest. Just click the appropriate link below to sign-up and we’ll do the rest.
- Staffing executive working within a company or agency
- Recruiter, who works for corporations or agencies.
- Candidate actively looking for a job today
- Not actively looking for a job today, but would confidentially explore opportunities

Great blog! Just found you through a post over on the CareerHub blog.
How about a fifth category of advisors — those of us who support those in job search?
We are career coaches, resume professionals, personal brand strategists, college career office staffers, military transition specialists, etc.
We all need to know — and try our best to know — the optimal ways to connect our clients with recruiters and employers. Many of us hold multiple certifications, attend conferences do our research, expand our networks — all in the pursuit of leading edge information to help us do our jobs better and so serve our clients better.
When I attend recruiting conferences (I am not a recruiter–I just want to see how things work from the other side) I am amazed at the chasm that separates us from recruiters and employers. Most of them don’t “get” what we do. They often don’t respect us. And they don’t realize that by not connecting with us they lose — big-time!
Why? Because we have great clients who will be great candidates. Those of us who do coaching and resume work the right way help our clients with personal branding and value propositions. Our clients know their stuff, what a company needs, what they offer, and can jump-start into a new position with little ramp up. And we’re not recruiters, so those candidates can be theirs.
And we have those elusive and valued passive candidate clients, too - they are career activists who understand that they need to be prepared to be competitive - even in their current jobs.
So, hey, think about the value an entire industry of credentialed and certified career professionals working hard to prepare candidates to out-compete can do for your mission of supporting the underserved.
